cooKING

The king wants

A hundred dishes, one a day. The royal painter is still at work on them: until a dish has its painting, the king shows a sketch or describes it in words. Progress is saved in this browser only.

Playtesting the new hints: . It is not counted, but it does spoil that dish’s day for you.

    How to serve the king

    1. The king wants one dish. He tells you only whether it is breakfast, lunch or dinner.
    2. You have six guesses. Type a dish and pick it from the royal cookbook. From your fifth guess on, the cookbook also shows which meals each dish is served at.
    3. Each wrong guess earns a hint, always in the same order: a clue about the dish, half of the king’s grocery list, a second clue, the rest of the list, and last of all a painting that the royal painter never finished. You see the finished one when the round is over.
    4. The king also tells you if your guess comes from the right kingdom or shares ingredients with his dish.

There is one dish a day, the same for everyone, and it changes at midnight.
